Gundam 00 doesn’t have a shred of Nippon Imperialism as we know of, that doesn’t mean it contains no prejudice against the Asian people (the Japanese is Asian people too!). In contrary, it is embedded with a kind of self-effacing yet self-flaterring mindset as we can see the series sets the future Japan merely as a Special Economic Jurisdiction (経済特区)of the so-called “Union of Solar Energy and Free Nations” (世界経済連合). Japan has realised she will never be a world power in her own right and ability, however must cling on the shoulder of a true superpower — AMERICA.

Dont flame but I cant stand to even look at pics of Gundam 00,The mecha designs for the grunt MS are ugly as hell (im not sure wha the MS with the fuel tansk for shins is called but I hope they all are destroyed)and the Gundam designs are kinda ugly and are covered in needless sharp edges.Also to top that of the characters are as effeminant as ever

well i like gundam 00 and i like tieren, i have hg tieren taozi and i love it’s design. whatever other might say, we need some new design not only focused on the ability and the look of a gundam. we will be bored if in every episode we see a unit with “V” on it’s head!

Actually I know quite a few people who love all the grunts in Gundam 00 (especially the Tierens), even more so than the Gundams, and would love that kit. Personally, I’ve always thought the Tieren was just plain ugly, even for a mass-produced mech. I mean, I understand they were going for a totally different look than the Union Flag and AEU Enact, but I think they could’ve made it different and stil fit more with everything else. The Tierens and Anfs seem like mechs that are way behind what the other countries in 00 put out.
