360,000 copies … not bad. I hope it can surpass Super Robot Wars Alpha 3 (about 500,000 copies) but I don’t think it will break 1st Super Robot Wars Alpha (about 700,000 copies).

only 360,000…. Think of all those people who downloaded the game.

Comment by XYZbuster

if you add those people who downloaded that games…
i’m sure it’s more than 360,000 copies

Comment by panda28

360.000… Something bad is going to happen, thanks to those ISO begger.

Like i say before, support it or risk losing it…. Mabe we wouldn’t have any SRW/T to play in the future..

Comment by srwog

@amuro0093: A new word-trend nowadays hah? 🙂

Comment by Epsilon_013

@Epsilon_013 & judo0054:

Yes you’re right ^_^
Anyway, the game is kinda hard if we want the SR point.
Anyone has finished the game?

Comment by amuro0093

Exported games don’t count. You go to fucking, buy me a copy and I’ll give you your fucking 50 dollar.

The problem with your reasoning on downloaders is that you assume that one person downloading it is one less person buying it.
You forget 2 elements: there are those who will buy it, even though they downloaded it and there are those who would not have bought it anyway (because they cannot find it in their country, because they do not have access to a credit card, because they do not want to spend a crapload of money on an item they could have gotten for half the price in Japan [an import game in France is 60 to 70 Euros, close to 100 dollars.]).
Your reasoning may be fundamentally correct, but I’m afraid it is not as manichean.

Comment by Hastur of Carcosa

I´m spanish and I have imported it for 50 euros, so it´s cheaper than buying a PAL game, but what it´s true is that a lot of people who download it wouldn´t buy it even for 10 euros, so there is no loss in that way.

i think the game game diserved more than 36\40 by the fametsu, the game is almost perfect. the animation is outstanding. im now in stage 58, i heard the game is 60 stages. i took destiny+Z gundam+gravion pathes they are my favorit in the game. some of the pathes in the game can not be desided by an option in the cut seens between the phases, they depins in your actions in the battel map, so be carful !!! about the originals in this game… they are not that good and there role in the story (i cant read japanies but the way i undrestand some events) is limited. if you go deaper in the game you can see that the heroes of the real robots are Shin Asuka and Kamil Badan!!!!! not Kira and Amuro !!!!! and the heroe of the super robots is Kline Sandman(gravion). that at least the pathes i took so far.

Putting SRW together with small fries isn’t convincing enough, I would like to see it fares against MGS4 and HALO3.

And to those who download ISOs, you should wait a little bit longer to see it soars the chart higher and supporting piracy doesn’t prove your loyalties. I bet most of you turns off the battle animations since they would just keep repeating the same old moves and gigs like 4-5 minutes, boring isn’t it? With so much explosions, flashy moves, boobs flapping and now a teary EMO bot like Gunleon (otherwise a Gaogaigar copycat) SRWZ to me is just the same old fanboys’ game for 18 freakin’ years and it is still WEAK without borrowed mecha animes. What more, most of the SRW fans are actually WEEABOOS’ who would cry foul at any straight comments deemed trolling. So this is how fandom has become these days, how sad

Not yet. I’m back focus play MH2 Freedom (PSP) again. (still hard to beat G-Rank moster :p)

Comment by Epsilon_013

Oh MH2 Freedom? Lucky for those who has PSP…

And by the way SRW A portable surpass MGS 4 sales.

LOL CV, calling SRW Weak because it’s “Crossover” core base, is like calling Kingdom Hearts weak because of it’s Crossover core base…and if you ask me, between crossover and crossover, i will stick with SRW, at least the stories in SRW are far more interesting and well written in general than those in KH.

Besides, SRW did quite well with the OG series, yet like anything, they need to take a break after all SRW OG is just a derivation of the main SRW Crossover line, and no matter what you say, you can’t just stop making Crossover based SRW’s, it’s like to completely stop making plataform based Mario games for the sake of making more Mario Party, Mario Kart or similar spin offs.

…actually…Nintendo could probably do that and still gain a ton of money, because it’s Nintendo >

Comment by lxs

They compensated the fact that it’s selling less by overpricing it. I guess they know that they can count on at least 200k to 300k certain sells of a main SRW title thanks to the most loyal fans.

But yeah, 2ch is projecting 450k as the final count, and that is even lower then @2 (worst selling @ title), but not that they’re specialists or anything.

I do hope that this low sell count, coupled with the complaining from fans regarding the piece of crap that was OGG, will finally bring some change to the staff hierarchy.

CV, this time I have to disagree with you. SRWZ is much better than I had expected, and there are much less 18 stuff in this game, (there are still little, but nothing more then a typical normal game) They clearly learned from that lesson. The game itself feels a lot more clean than the older titles, and animations are improved. That is not to say you wont get bored, but it is alot better.
The game mechanics are a lot better too, it is slightly harder than older titles, as well as better characters development strategies. (SP regen is no longer “learnable”, you have much less sp, a A+S score gives you only A, not S like before) so over all it makes you plan a little more. I still find it a bit too straight forward.. if they added the direction and “zone of defense” mechanics like in LOE that would have been great.
