So… Here we have GM with armor parts of FA Gundam and guns of Guncanon. Yeah, this is much more original than Blitz with Gold Frame’s wings.
No, I do not say, that this is bad. I, personaly, like this design. It’s just… This MSV will recieve more love unlike Nebula Blitz and other VS Astray designs.

That’s because these designs are meant to be generic and samey. They’re mass produced GM’s, not actual Gundams. That and katoki can actually create good and balanced designs. They may not be flashy or unique machines but they’re good for what they are, grunt machines.

the armor looks quite different from the FA gundam. look at the details, not the color.

So far, I find the RX-81 G-Line ver.KA are alot more better than the old Okawara blocky style and this one shows more versatility with one base design and its swappable parts. Not even the 7th Gundam can be as cool as this.

Whether would Bandai ever turn the G-Line into plamos or GFFix, it still depends on whether how well the game sells in the market as the game is just a pushover with better graphics, hell even a PS2 can plays this with low-res graphics. But gunpla enthusiasts would definitely be interested in this G-Line MS as it comes in about 6 variations which can be a good thing for Bandai cash milk about. What more, young adults in their 20-30s are more potential customers than schoolkids as they got the necessary income to purchase these G-Line plamos. Even the Efreet Nacht is a good buy too. So I don’t see why Bandai should only scrutinize on SEED and 00 effortless rehashes because these shallow titles has drop in quality and getting from bad to worst. GIRLS DON’T BUY PLAMOS, they are only interested in pretty BLs and YAOIs

The RX-81AS looks like an updated version of GM Striker.

I wonder why they use the RX nomenclature… Because AFAIK, the RX series is Gundam series. The mobile suit in the pictures looks like a GM, which should bore the RGM/GM series.

guntank and guncannon looks nothing like gundam, guncannon has a gm look. guncannon and guntank both rx-something

zeta is gundam, but zeta, msz , ms = zeon’s ms lol.

my point is, the serial number is not that important.

These rx-81 variations reminds me of gm striker and it’s recent gundam headed variation. Is it just me or they’re getting lazy?

Don’t forget than the Guncannon and Guntank both share the RX Type code. RX simply stands for experimental Federation Mobile suit (Renpou eXperiment) and the RX-81 G-Line is essentially a high performance prototype under combat evaluation, it’s GM resemblance be damned (also, it has glowing visible Gundam eyes under the visor. It’s more of a pseudo-Gundam than a simple GM variant.) It was a unit meant to test the feasibility of a Mobile Suit that is built to equip different equipment for different circumstances and/or pilot preferences. It’s a nifty MS really, as it solves the nasty maintenance and logistics issues having to do with different types of mobile suits in a team, since you can just have three or four RX-81s using different mission packs. The downside was that it was expensive as hell, and it wasn’t adopted due to the fact that there simply wasn’t enough conflict going on to warrant the need for such an expensive mobile suit. The concept itself was later inherited by MS like the RX-121 Gundam Hazel, which was sort of a base mobile suit used to mount various experimental weapons and other toys for the purpose of testing them for the Titans, and the F90.

Though i’m tired of these kind of GM and Gundam variations but those are pretty decent designs.

Ah, thanks for all the corrections. I’m kind of still locked in the Titans Test Team back story, especially Hazel’s designation. Especially the part where it says TR series rivals RX series mobile suits performance.
